Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

1. Information we collect

When you use FarmNet, we collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account details — name, email address, phone number, and password.
  • Listing content — titles, descriptions, photos, price and location.
  • Business profile details, where you create one — business name, address, contact details and logo.
  • Messages you send to other users through FarmNet.

We also collect some information automatically, such as pages viewed, listings you save, searches you run, and basic device/browser information, to operate and improve the platform.

2. How we use your information

  • To operate your account and display your listings and profile.
  • To connect buyers and sellers — for example, delivering enquiry messages.
  • To send saved-search alerts and account-related notifications.
  • To moderate listings and investigate reports of abuse or fraud.
  • To improve search relevance and the overall product.

3. What we share, and with whom

Your listing content, public profile, and business details are visible to other users of the platform by design — that's how a marketplace works. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who help us run FarmNet (for example, hosting or payment processing), and where required by law.

4. Your contact details

We only display the phone number or WhatsApp number you add to a listing or business profile — this is optional. Buyer/seller messages sent through FarmNet don't expose your email address to the other party.

5. Your rights

You can access and update most of your information from your account settings at any time. To request a copy of your data, or to request deletion of your account, contact us via the details on our Contact page.

6. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypting passwords and restricting access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to FarmNet.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
